1A-1 Region I District 4 recap September 10, 2013
Eric Sanchez of Stamford ran for the longest rushing play in 1A-1 Region I District 4 this season against Munday last week. Sanchez ran for 61 yards on the play and finished with 96 on the day as his team topped the Moguls.
Zane Sanders and Kolby Self provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Plains. The connection went for 63 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Sanders and Self gave Forsan a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Sanders threw for 140 yards, while Self ran for 141 yards. Teammate Walker Park added to the ground attack by rushing for 19 yards.

Sanders put up the best numbers in passing as Forsan beat the Cowboys. Sanders' favorite target this week was Self, who caught 2 passes for 72 yards.
Bo Wimberly provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Stamford topped Munday. He completed 9 passes for 136 yards and also ran for 31 yards. Wimberly's favorite target this week was James Washington, who caught 6 passes for 128 yards.
Washington was the best receiver in the league this week as Wayne Hutchinson's team topped Patrick Corcoran's team. Wes Hutchinson helped Stamford's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 42 yards.
Self was the best running back in 1A-1 Region I District 4 this week.
The Bulldogs' Wimberly and Washington have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Wimberly has thrown for 376 yards this season, while Washington has 16 catches for 314 yards. Self from Jason Phillips' team leads the league in rushing with 201 yards.
Anson scaled the state rankings by moving to 323 from 377 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers were able to make move up by beating Olney 62-32.
