Carver A&T and Perry Hall are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Carver A&T is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since April 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Franklin 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jocelyn Barker, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia McGarvey, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Carver A&T hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two strikeouts batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Perry Hall hadn't done well against Catonsville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Gators won by a run and slipped past the Comets 6-5.
Savannah Carl made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Carl was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Addison Dunlap was incredible, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Shalimar Lopez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Perry Hall has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Carver A&T, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Carver A&T's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Wildcats have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Perry Hall, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Carver A&T continue to outrun the ball?
Carver A&T suffered a grim 19-6 defeat to Perry Hall in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
