The Lincoln Golden Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 56-44 to Glencoe. If Lincoln was looking for revenge after losing 50-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Leading Glencoe to victory were Alli Jo Amos and Kinlee Montgomery. Amos scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Montgomery scored 21 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Montgomery has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Greene, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Lincoln has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Glencoe, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-9.
Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. White Plains is on a six-game streak of home losses, the Golden Bears a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Glencoe, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Gaston comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
