He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Elliott Douda was another major influence, as he rushed for 47 yards and ran in a TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop Union was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 378 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Gate). They snuck past Marquez with a 63-58 victory on Saturday.
South Gate's win came from a few key players Bishop Union will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Michael Gonzalez, who threw for 484 yards and five TDs while completing 77.1% of his passes, and also rushed for 43 yards. His passing game has become a key predictor of South Gate's success: the team is 10-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Nicholas Fonseca also helped out as he racked up 166 receiving yards.
Bishop Union's record is now 11-3. As for South Gate, their record now sits at an identical 11-3.
Saturday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Bishop Union has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 152 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for South Gate, though, as they've been averaging only 97.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
