Chesterton barely beat Hobart the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Brickies 13-2 on Friday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Troy Barrett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Chesterton: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Barrett was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Josh Davis was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. John Knight was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
