The Capital Cougars fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 48-43 win over Central Kitsap on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Capital, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddy Higgs, who scored 19 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Higgs has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Abi Lundblad, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and two steals.
Capital's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Central Kitsap, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Capital does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central Kitsap also has no future games currently scheduled.
