Hatton found their leader in underclassman Eva Armstead, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. The game was Armstead's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyli Smith, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Lawrence County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kylie Graham, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Graham continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jaala Hawkins was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Hatton pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Lawrence County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Hatton will head out on the road to face off against Tharptown at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Tharptown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Lawrence County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
