Meanwhile, Churubusco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Lakeland, falling 33-8. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Lakers are ranked 94th).
Garrett's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Churubusco, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
