Crown Point has gone 6-1 against Hanover Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Ava Richie and Kenedi Bradley. Bradley had a solid game and went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points. Meanwhile, Richie did her best for the losing side, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hanover Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They breezed by Hobart to the tune of 60-28 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wildcats have posted since November 23, 2024.
Crown Point better keep an eye on Sienna Antkiewicz. She was instrumental in Hanover Central's win, going 7 of 11 on her way to 20 points and six steals. Antkiewicz has become a key player for Hanover Central: the team is 11-4 when she posts at least three steals, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Simone Parker, who posted 12 points.
Hanover Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hobart only posted four assists.
Hanover Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Crown Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Crown Point has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 27.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Hanover Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Crown Point was able to grind out a solid win over Hanover Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 31-24. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crown Point since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
