The Trego Golden Eagles won the last time they faced the Decatur Community Red Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Trego walked away with a 57-44 victory over Decatur Community. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trego.
Tyler Ostmeyer and Davin Jensen certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Ostmeyer scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four blocks, while Jensen scored ten points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him.
Trego's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Decatur Community, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Trego will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hill City on January 5, 2024. Decatur Community will be home for the holidays to greet Oakley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
