Newcomb has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Crownpoint Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Newcomb suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-31 loss at the hands of Tohatchi. The losing side was boosted by Nevaeh Miller, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Lethia Yazzie was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Crownpoint's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Zuni. Crownpoint has not had much luck with Zuni recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
