Softball Recap: Yerington Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Yerington hadn't done well against Pershing County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Yerington put the hurt on Pershing County with a sharp 9-3 win. Considering the Lions have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Casey Bobrick made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bobrick was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amaree Savage, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jadynn Ramsey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Yerington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .528 or higher in four consecutive games.

Yerington pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Pershing County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Yerington will have a chance to go back-to-back against Pershing County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
