The Durango Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 67-54 to Clark. Durango was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Clark apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Durango saw an underclassman step up: Drake Afe-Passion scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Afe-Passion pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caleb Bowen, who scored 12 points.
Durango has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Clark, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-5.
Durango will take on Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Clark, they will head out on the road to challenge Somerset Sky Pointe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
