El Primero and Summit Preparatory are an even 5-5 against one another in play since January of 2015, but likely not for long. El Primero will head out on the road to take on Summit Preparatory at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. El Primero will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
El Primero faced off against East Palo Alto Academy for the first time this season, and El Primero walked away the winners. They didn't even let East Palo Alto Academy onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Monday.
El Primero was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Andrew Camacho and
Diego Andrade, who scored.
Meanwhile, Summit Preparatory has not lost a match since January 10th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They beat DCP Alum Rock by a goal, winning 2-1.
The win got El Primero back to even at 6-6-1. As for Summit Preparatory, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5-1.
El Primero took their win against Summit Preparatory in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for El Primero since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
