Father McGivney Catholic had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over First Baptist Academy. The Griffins haven't had any issues with First Baptist Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Mia Lieberman paced Father McGivney Catholic's offense, picking up ten kills. Lieberman got some help from Grace Nesbit and her 19 assists. Lieberman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Father McGivney Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Southwestern on the 25th. As for First Baptist Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Civic Memorial on the 25th.
