Baseball Recap: Deep Run Extends Winning Streak to Three

Deep Run put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Hermitage Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Will Frank tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Carson Strieffler and Vince Porcaro did most of the damage at the plate: Strieffler went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Porcaro scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Parker Noonan, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Deep Run hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hermitage struck out ten times.

Deep Run's record is now 3-0. As for Hermitage, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deep Run will face off against Thomas Dale at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hermitage, they will take on Maggie Walker at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hermitage is facing Maggie Walker at the right time seeing as Maggie Walker is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
