The Angleton Wildcats will be playing at home against the Ball Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Angleton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 589th, while Ball is ranked 187th).
Last Friday, Angleton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-43 to Manvel. Angleton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, even though La Porte scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, Ball still came out on top. Ball managed a 66-60 win over La Porte.
Angleton's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Ball, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8.
Angleton came up short against Ball in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 58-47. Can Angleton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
