Hough came out on top against Mallard Creek on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Mavericks. Considering the Huskies have won 13 matchups by more than ten runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hough let Reagan Waldau and Ashlyn Rogers run wild. Waldau went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Rogers went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Waldau a new career-high. Caitlin Schriber was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Hough has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mallard Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Hough has already played their next contest, a 15-1 win against Hopewell on the 1st. As for Mallard Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 29-21 loss against North Mecklenburg on the 28th.
