The Franklin Monroe Jets will head out on the road to take on the Middletown Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Monroe comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-22, which was the final score in Franklin Monroe's tilt against the Trojans on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Franklin Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 635th, while the Trojans are ranked 249th).
While Middletown Christian couldn't quite beat the Bulldogs on Saturday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 29-point defeat they were dealt on Thursday. Middletown Christian fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 55-52. Middletown Christian has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Franklin Monroe has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Middletown Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.
Franklin Monroe came up short against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 50-42. Can Franklin Monroe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
