Deer Lakes had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Quaker Valley Quakers on Friday as the Deer Lakes Lancers made off with an 83-58 win. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Quaker Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dominic Cox-Giles, who posted eight points and 15 boards. He has been hot, having posted 13 or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Harrison Kerley was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

Deer Lakes pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points over those games. As for Quaker Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season.

Coming up, Deer Lakes will square off against North Catholic on Wednesday. Quaker Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
