The Wortham Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Cayuga Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Cayuga will be up against a hot Wortham team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Bulldogs put the hurt on LaPoynor with a sharp 13-2 win on Friday. 13 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Katelynn Spain was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Maggie Downey was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Addison Allen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Wortham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cayuga took on Kerens on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Bobcats.
Like Wortham, Cayuga also got a great game from a two-way player: Kennedi Kroll. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Kroll was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabi Camacho, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Cavazos, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Wortham's record now sits at 13-10. As for Cayuga, their record is now 7-16.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wortham has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .516. However, it's not like Cayuga struggles in that department as they've averaged .572. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
