Despite the loss, Hunter still got an impressive performance from Dominick Phannolath, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaquel Cossa, who scored 12 points.
Cyprus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Beckham Bayles out in front who scored 18 points along with two steals. Stone Tia was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Hunter has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Cyprus, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-13.
Hunter will be playing at home against Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granger is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Cyprus, they will head out on the road to face off against Kearns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Kearns is ranked 112th, while Cyprus is ranked 102nd).
