Governor's Academy have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Saturday. They are leaving MA behind and heading out of state to face off against St. George's at 5:00 PM. Governor's Academy don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Governor's Academy, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor by a 47-26 margin over Tabor Academy. Followers of Governor's Academy probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Meanwhile, St. George's have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their game against St. Mark's last Saturday making it six winless games in a row. St. George's fell to St. Mark's 6-20. If the result catches you off guard, it should: St. George's were the far and away favorite.
Governor's Academy's win lifted them to 4-2 while St. George's's loss dropped them down to 0-6. We'll find out if Governor's Academy can add another positive mark to their record or if St. George's can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Governor's Academy's step.
