While Thomas Heyward Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 51-34 victory over the Faith Christian Knights on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Rebels who have now won four matches in a row.

Faith Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yannik Hulsmeyer, who posted six points along with six rebounds and three steals. Lee Cordero was another key player, putting up eight points.

Thomas Heyward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Faith Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
