McNary scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Newberg Tigers. The Celtics were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

McNary's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Newberg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McNary will challenge Sprague at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newberg, they will face off against Reynolds at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Newberg has four straight victories, Reynolds has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
