The Vanguard School is  a perfect 8-0 against Atlas Preparatory School since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Coursers will host the Gryphons  at 6:30  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (The Vanguard School has five straight  victories, Atlas Preparatory School has 39 straight  defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Thursday, The Vanguard School got the win against St. Mary's  by a conclusive  3-0.
 While The Vanguard School won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 26-24,  25-20.

The Vanguard School got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Aili Haisley out in front who  had 21  digs. Haisley is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 15 or more in each of the last ten games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ainsley Anderson, who  had 13  assists and seven  digs.
 The Vanguard School  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Atlas Preparatory School came up short against  Lamar on Thursday, falling  3-0.
 Atlas Preparatory School took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-7,  25-15.
 The Vanguard School's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Atlas Preparatory School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-19.
 Everything went The Vanguard School's way against Atlas Preparatory School in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as The Vanguard School made off with  a  3-0 win. Will the Coursers repeat their success,  or do  the Gryphons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
