Volleyball Recap: Spanish Fort Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Spanish Fort had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. Paul's Episcopal Saints by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Toros, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Spanish Fort easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21.

Spanish Fort's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cailyn Boykin led the charge by getting 11 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Boykin has posted over her last five games. Harper Trucks also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Spanish Fort's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Spanish Fort will face off against Mobile Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, they will challenge Satsuma at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
