The Boardman Spartans will square off against the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Boardman was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against St. John on Thursday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Fighting Herald. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won three matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
