The Alva Goldbugs won the last time they faced the Perry Maroons, and things went their way on Saturday too. Alva snuck past Perry with a 55-51 win.
Lakin Gaddy was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Kelln, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Alva's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Perry, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chisholm the next time they take the court. Perry will host Chisholm at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Alva will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
