The Liberty Hill Panthers will be playing at home against the Pieper Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Liberty Hill sitting on four straight wins and Pieper on seven.
Even though Bastrop scored an imposing 31 points on Friday, Liberty Hill still came out on top. Liberty Hill took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 81-31 win over Bastrop.
Liberty Hill had a senior duo take command as Noah Long gained 290 total yards and five touchdowns and Ben Carter rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Carter's longest rush was for an incredible 99 yards. Dj Seaborn was another key contributor, rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Pieper put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-21 win over Lockhart at home. With Pieper ahead 38-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Jake South continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 424 yards and five touchdowns. South is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Stratchan, who picked up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Liberty Hill's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Pieper, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
