Lanett is 9-1 against Reeltown since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Last Saturday, Lanett ended up a good deal behind Callaway and lost 49-34. Lanett has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Reeltown escaped with a win on Friday against Beulah by the margin of a single free throw, 37-36.
Reeltown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Hornsby, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Hornsby grabbed two or more steals. Finn Henderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Lanett bumped their record down to 7-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Reeltown, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Lanett came up short against Reeltown when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 50-42. Can Lanett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
