The Rosman Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 59-40 to NCSSM: Morganton. Rosman was down 57-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Mason Meece and Kaesyn Mccoy certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Meece scored 14 points, while Mccoy scored 11 points.
NCSSM: Morganton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lawson Taylor, who scored 18 points. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahul Soletti, who scored 12 points.
Rosman dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for NCSSM: Morganton, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Rosman will head out on the road to take on Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Madison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for NCSSM: Morganton, they will head out on the road to take on Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mitchell will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something NCSSM: Morganton surely won't give up without a fight.
