SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - After swapping the lead two times,
La Salle College (Wyndmoor, Pa.) took the lead for the win when
Kyle Shurmur thew a touchdown to
Jordan Meachum in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Cardinal O'Hara (Springfield, Pa.) 28-14.
The Explorers expanded their lead to nine points entering the fourth quarter. La Salle College's lone score in the quarter came on a Shurmur touchdown pass to Meachum.
The win was a nice bounce back for LSC, which lost to Imhotep Charter last week, 40-28. The loss was the third in a row for the Lions. The win broke La Salle College's two-game losing streak.
Cardinal O'Hara (0-3) will play a non-conference game against Delaware Valley Charter next week, while La Salle College (2-2) will take on Malvern Prep also in a non-conference game.
