The Flandreau Fliers will head out to face off against the Deuel Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Flandreau not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 7, 2024 (when they won 24-4). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Parker a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Fliers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Katrina Hagberg was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. Hagberg was also big at the plate, earning one run and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Deuel let Kennedy Harmon and Roxanne Raml run wild. Harmon went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Raml went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Raml has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Lanners, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
The victory snapped Flandreau's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Deuel, their record is now 3-1.
Flandreau couldn't quite finish off Deuel in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Fliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
