The Edisto Cougars lost against the Hampton County Hurricanes on January 12th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Edisto received a tough blow as they fell 41-27 to the Hurricanes. Edisto has not had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chyna Myers, who scored eight points.
Edisto's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Hampton County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ridgeland-Hardeeville the next time they take the court. Hampton County will host Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Edisto will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
