Hallettsville is a perfect 10-0 against Industrial since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hallettsville Brahmas will head out on the road to square off against the Industrial Cobras at 1:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Hallettsville sitting on 11 straight victories and Industrial on three.
Hallettsville's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Palacios as Hallettsville made off with a 15-0 win. The Brahmas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.
Caitlynn Halata was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Ashlyn Pustka was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Hallettsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Industrial). They put the hurt on Rice Consolidated with a sharp 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cobras with their most commanding win of the season.
Industrial got a massive performance out of Kinley Mauldin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave Mauldin a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Kayla Osburn, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Hallettsville pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Industrial, their record now sits at 10-3-1.
Hallettsville took their victory against Industrial in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hallettsville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
