It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Stephenson Jaguars can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 34-20 to the Panthers. It was the first time this season that Stephenson let down their fans at home.
When it comes to explaining why Stephenson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devin Ingram. Despite the final result, he rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
Ahmad Gordon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Perry, rushing for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Gordon hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Colter Ginn was another key contributor, throwing for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Stephenson's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Perry, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Stephenson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Perry will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Starr's Mill at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Starr's Mill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Perry likes a good challenge.
