Chalmette was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Thomas Jefferson on Wednesday. The Owls blew past Thomas Jefferson 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won nine contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Shelby Vitrano was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ella Tabora, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Chalmette hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomas Jefferson struck out seven times.

Chalmette's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Thomas Jefferson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Looking ahead, Chalmette will take on Salmen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will venture away from home to take on John Ehret at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
