The Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Millard South with a 47-41 victory. Given Lincoln Southwest's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Millard South is ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kennadi Williams was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points. The matchup was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Hayden Rathe was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Lincoln Southwest pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Millard South, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Omaha North the next time they take the court. Millard South will head out to face Omaha North at TBD on Tuesday, while Lincoln Southwest will head out to face them at TBD on Thursday.
