The Genesee Wolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bendle 66-34 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-18.
Genesee found their leader in underclassman Averie Zinn, who almost dropped a triple-double on 36 points, nine rebounds, and 18 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Zinn has scored at least a third of Genesee's points. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Ross, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Genesee now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Bendle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Genesee will face off against Bendle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bendle and Genesee are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Bendle, they will be playing at home against Genesee at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Genesee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Friday.
