The Troy Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 69-23 loss at the hands of Lincoln County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Troy in their matchups with Lincoln County: they've now lost nine in a row.
Lincoln County had a senior duo take command as Braden Casazza dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds and Caden Vaughn scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Butts, who scored seven points along with nine assists.
Troy bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Troy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Lincoln County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plains at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
