On Saturday, Wayne County didn't have too much trouble with Jackson South Side on the road as they won 44-27.
Jackson South Side's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kimora Currie, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals. Currie has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Felicity Long, who scored 9 points.
Wayne County's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Jackson South Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Wayne County will head out on the road to face off against East Hickman County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Hickman County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Jackson South Side, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Munford at 6:00 p.m.
