After losing to the Fort Lee Bridgemen the last time they met, the Ridgefield Park Scarlets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Ridgefield Park walked away with a 56-43 victory over the Bridgemen on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ridgefield Park.
Several Bridgemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Guy Vickers, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Devin Jang was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Fort Lee struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Ridgefield Park's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Fort Lee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgefield Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Dumont presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Scarlets in New Jersey (the Huskies are ranked 86th, while the Scarlets are ranked 228th). As for Fort Lee, they will head out on the road to face off against the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cliffside Park is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
