While Slinger's victory against Port Washington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Owls won by a run and slipped past the Pirates 10-9. The win continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Chase Leverance, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Sawyer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Slinger now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Port Washington, their record now sits at 3-2.
