Last Tuesday, St. Mary's Episcopal took a serious blow against the Sting, falling 62-32. While losing is never fun, St. Mary's Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Sting are ranked 32nd).
Meanwhile, St. Agnes Academy was the victim of a tough 58-33 defeat at the hands of the Saints on Thursday.
St. Mary's Episcopal's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Agnes Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
St. Mary's Episcopal won a match that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in January, slipping by the Stars 32-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Mary's Episcopal since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
