Essex were out to avenge their 8-30 loss to St. Johnsbury Academy from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Essex took a hard 21-41 fall against St. Johnsbury Academy. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Essex.
The defeat dropped Essex's record to 0-2. The win got St. Johnsbury Academy back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Essex will stay at home next week against Champlain Valley Union at 7:00 PM. As for St. Johnsbury Academy, they will face off against Middlebury.
