The Lake Region Christian Hornets lost against Prior Lake Christian back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lake Region Christian fell 40-31 to Prior Lake Christian. Lake Region Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aleah DeVries, who scored 11 points along with seven steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Annalis Benson, who scored six points along with nine steals.
Lake Region Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Prior Lake Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region Christian will take on Fourth Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fourth Baptist Christian's defense has only allowed 27.5 points per game this season, so Lake Region Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Lake Region Christian. Prior Lake Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Owatonna Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 29th.
