The King's Academy Lions had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They secured a 40-34 W over True North Classical Academy. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, True North Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Bueno Jr., who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Zachary "Zac" Katz was another key contributor, throwing for 140 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes.
King's Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. As for True North Classical Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.
King's Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Inlet Grove at 7:00 p.m. Inlet Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 374th, while King's Academy is ranked 123rd). As for True North Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against John Carroll Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
