 Resurrection didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Emily Verdon.
 Meanwhile, New Trier got themselves on the board against Roosevelt on Wednesday, but Roosevelt never followed suit. They blew past the Rough Riders, posting  a  28-0 victory on the road. Given the Trevians' advantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings  (they are ranked 23rd, while the Rough Riders are ranked 146th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Resurrection is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record  this season. As for New Trier, they now  have a winning record of 9-8.
