5A District 9 recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A District 9 this week, Jesuit beat Tampa Catholic 13-9. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.
Spoto took down Leto 54-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kevin Hobley threw for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
The Spartans' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Josh Battles chipped in 127 yards. Marc McCoy helped Spoto's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 36 yards.

Battles provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Dale Caparaso's team topped Leto. Battles' key target this week was Simms, who caught 2 passes for 64 yards.
Middleton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Marcellus Ray has thrown for 1,619 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Anthony Rhynes has 33 catches for 1,126 yards.
Jesuit and the Crusaders played the closest game in the league this week, with Jesuit eventually emerging with a 13-9 victory.
